Traveling to Camp...

I had one camp experience growing up, and to be honest, it wasn't that much fun. So when I heard Camp Mountain Heart invited me as a guest speaker and scar volunteer counselor I felt redeemed and honored to have another try at it. I had heard so many great things about this camp, and couldn't wait to meet all of the special attendees and share a part of my heart.

Camp Mountain Heart is specifically there for those who have heart defects and are battling heart disease. All of the children have scars, and have fought couragously for their lives. The atmosphere was incredible and I enjoyed every second of my time there.

We laughed, and cried, shared and encouraged and I was even more inspired to continue my mission to help all children and teens with scars, find their inner light and shine. It's up to all of us to change the stigmas and stop sterotypes, I hope you will join me and Shining S.C.A.R.S.
